Ole Glory Days
This week has been our town's Ole Glory Days. It just amazes me how much our little town does for the Independence day holiday and how many people turn out for the events. We have a carnival and many vendor booths, plus many free events going on in the downtown square. We attended the art show, the office Olympics, the motor cross trick show (where the motorbikes did flips and many other scary stunts), and Jesse competed in a Wii bowling tournament. Today, we went to the Grand parade and Wyatt finally figured out how to yell, "Candy" to the cars and parade walkers to get his fair share. Tomorrow is the morning community service followed by free biscuits and gravy (Jamie's really excited about this). Then we will be hosting a southern gospel group at our church. During the evening, there is a free ice cream social (I'm excited about this) and the gospel fest. We will end the evening and the weekend by watching the big firework show from our back yard. I love the Ole Glory days. It really brings our town together and gives us a chance to get out and enjoy many events, all for free!
